Half to Full Clips for Slack
Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Half to Full Clips for Slack ("the app") handles data when you install or use the app with a Slack workspace.
Data we collect
The app collects and stores the minimum Slack data needed to send Clip notifications:
- Slack workspace ID and workspace name.
- The Slack channel ID and channel name selected during installation.
- The incoming webhook URL issued by Slack for the selected channel.
- The installation timestamp.
- A temporary OAuth state cookie used to protect the installation flow.
If you contact support, we also receive the information you choose to include in your email, such as your email address, workspace name, and the details of your request.
The app does not collect Slack messages, files, conversation history, private channel contents, user profile data, user email addresses, or payment information.
How we use data
We use the collected data to:
- Complete the Slack OAuth installation flow.
- Send new Half to Full Clip notifications to the selected Slack channel.
- Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and support the app.
- Remove invalid installations when Slack indicates a webhook or workspace is no longer available.
Data storage and retention
Installation records are stored with Netlify Blobs. We keep installation data while the app is installed, until you request deletion, until Slack indicates that the webhook or workspace is no longer available, or until the data is no longer needed to operate the app.
The temporary OAuth state cookie expires after 10 minutes. Hosting and security logs may be processed by Netlify and retained according to Netlify's operational practices.
Sharing and subprocessors
We do not sell Slack data. Data may be processed by service providers required to operate the app, including Slack for authorization and message delivery, and Netlify for hosting, storage, and logs.
AI and model training
The app does not use generative AI and does not use Slack data to train large language models or other machine learning models.
Security
The app uses Slack OAuth state validation and HTTPS endpoints. Webhook URLs and Slack credentials are treated as secrets and are not intentionally exposed to end users or public repositories.
Your choices and data requests
You can uninstall the app from your Slack workspace at any time through Slack's app management settings. To request access, transfer, correction, or deletion of data associated with an installation, contact [email protected]. Please include the Slack workspace name or workspace ID so we can identify the installation.
International transfers
The app is operated from South Korea and may use service providers that process data in other countries. By installing the app, you understand that data may be processed where these providers operate.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes or legal requirements change. The updated date above will reflect the latest version.
